Your mission
The Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute (IJC) is a world-class, non-profit research institute located in Barcelona. We are dedicated to advancing the understanding and treatment of leukemia and related disorders, working closely with institutions like the University of Barcelona and the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Our research facilities are spread across five major hospitals: Hospital Clínic, Hospital de Sant Pau, Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol, Hospital del Mar, and Hospital Josep Trueta in Girona. At IJC, we bring together basic researchers and clinicians in a highly collaborative environment to tackle the most pressing clinical and biological questions related to leukemia.
At IJC, we strive to be at the forefront of precision medicine, particularly in haematological diseases. Our Proteomics Unit plays a crucial role in supporting translational research, enabling the identification of biomarkers and advancing personalized medicine. Using state-of-the-art mass spectrometry and proteomics technologies, we collaborate with clinicians and basic researchers to develop robust and efficient workflows that significantly improve diagnostic capabilities and patient outcomes.
